Thomas Y. C. Chiu
Thomas Chiu was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Edmonton, Alberta in 1968. He received his Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts (economics major), and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of Alberta. In 1990, Thomas articled with the law firm of Snyder & Company and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in July, 1991. Shortly, thereafter, he was a partner at the law firm of Mah & Chiu for thirteen years. His practice includes corporate and commercial law, immigration law, and residential conveyancing.
Thomas is very active in the Edmonton Chinese community and is also the legal counsel for non-profit organizations such as the Alberta Kaiping District Association and the Alberta Kwan Ying Athletic Club. He enjoys curling, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Jeffrey M. Chow
Jeffrey Chow was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. He received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of Alberta. While at university, Jeffrey was involved in several student organizations, including the Chinese Students’ Association, the Gateway student newspaper, Student Orientation Services, the Law Students’ Association, and Student Legal Services.
In 1993, Jeffrey articled with the law firm of Hladun & Company and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in August, 1994. In addition to Hladun & Company, he has worked at the law firms of Mah & Chiu and Mintz & Chow. Throughout his legal career, Jeffrey has maintained a general practice, including wills and estates, immigration, corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on residential conveyancing.
Jeffrey was a member of the Rotary Club Avenue of Nations from 2001 to 2004 and hs been the President of the Edmonton Chinese Golf Club from 2001 to 2010.
His current extra-curricular activities include curling with the Push Broomers Curling Club and managing and coaching the Whitemud West teams that his two young sons play hockey on.
